About Us
The Distance Learning Centre Limited is a fully State Owned Institute functioning under
the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government (Self Retaining Institution).
DLC was established in 2002 as a World Bank Project with counterpart funding from the Government of Sri Lanka offered through
a subsidiary loan agreement that was reached between the Ministry of Finance and DLC. DLC Ltd. has served for over 21 years to
impart new Learning and Knowledge Sharing to both Public and Private Sector Personnel.
Sri Lanka has become the first Country in South Asia to be linked with the World Bank’s Global Development
Learning Network (GDLN) with the establishment of a state-of-the-art Distance Learning Centre in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It has been
Instrumental in providing Global knowledge sharing experiences, facilitated and influenced many Institutions in Policy Making process,
and Performed many Organizational Changes too. Over the last 21 years, DLC has been able to deliver all types of Capacity Building Programs,
Workshops, Training, and Micro Credentials to Employees in Government and Private Sector Organizations to increase their Working Efficiency and Productivity.

never been more evident. The Distance Learning Centre is dedicated to providing Quality Learning facilities that permit learners to
achieve their academic and career goals on their terms. DLC offers a wide range of micro-credentials and courses designed to cater to
learners' needs with the aid of online & onsite resources, expert faculty, an innovative approach, and a commitment to excellence.
DLC is a credible Training Service Provider for Local and International Clients through high responsiveness,
Technical Support, Superior Infrastructure, Client-Focused Hospitality, and flexible Management Processes to retain credibility
and consolidate Service Users.
